Jazz Band Library is not a corporate catalogue. It is a family archive — built note by note, arrangement by arrangement, over three decades of love for jazz.
Every collection has a beginning. Ours began in a rehearsal room somewhere in the 1990s, where a musician fell in love with jazz — and never stopped.
For more than fifty years, Tatiana's husband has lived inside music. He has performed in jazz ensembles of every size — big bands, dixieland groups, small combos — and along the way he accumulated something rare: a working library of professional arrangements, gathered from publishers, fellow musicians, and the quiet corners of the jazz world that rarely make it into any catalogue.
Among the ensembles he played with was the Alexandroff Dixieland Band — a traditional jazz group that performed the authentic New Orleans repertoire with the warmth and spontaneity that only comes from decades of shared playing. The band performed at jazz clubs, festivals, and private events, keeping alive the spirit of early jazz in the Russian tradition.
Tatiana stood beside him through all of it. Over thirty years she helped preserve, organise, and care for this collection — not as an archivist, but as a partner who understood that these scores were not just paper. They were the language her husband spoke most fluently.
Today he is 78. His hearing is almost gone, his eyesight has faded. But if you watch his hands, you will see his fingers still tapping — quietly, rhythmically — the melodies that have lived in him for half a century. The music has not left. It simply moved inward.
Tatiana, now in her seventies herself, made a decision: this collection should not stay in boxes. It should reach every jazz musician, every educator, every student who might need exactly the right arrangement for exactly the right moment. That is why Jazz Band Library exists.
"My husband devoted his whole life to music. His love is jazz, and he has lived his entire life inside it — performing in different ensembles, giving himself to every note. Now he can no longer hear or see, at 78 years old. But he still taps the melody of jazz with his fingers. The music lives on in his mind.

These photographs capture the band in performance — the same musicians whose dedication to traditional jazz inspired this entire collection. The first image was taken at Jazz Club «Kvadrat», one of the beloved jazz venues where the band regularly performed.
What Is in the Collection
The library holds over 11,000 professional arrangements for Big Band, Big Band Vocal, Dixieland, Concert Band, and Small Ensemble — spanning jazz standards, swing, bebop, Latin jazz, ballads, and dance repertoire. Many titles come from publishers and arrangers who are no longer widely distributed; some exist nowhere else in digital form.
